Connects Gay info:

Connect is located in the Gay area of Paradise complex in Patong Beach. Most of the customers that stay at Connect are gay, bisexual or lesbian but everyone is welcome. Connect is a gay but very straight friendly. If you are a GLBT (Gay Lesbian Bisexual Transgender) you will soon feel the difference. In straight places or gay friendly places you will always be a minority, here at Connect it's just the opposite. When you check in at Connect as a same sex couple nobody will look down at you as might happen in many other hotels and of course you will get a double bed not two single beds.

Connect's Gay Day tour to Kai Island (Saturdays)

Since 1999 we have a Gay day tour to a small deserted Island outside Phuket. The tour is a weekly event on Saturdays if weather permits and a minimum of 10 participants. This is still the only weekly Gay/PLU tour in SE Asia. Many have told us this was the most memorable event on their holiday and that they will come back to join the tour soon again. For PLU Asians

In neighboring countries like Malaysia and Singapore you will not see the word Gay. Instead we use PLU (People Like Us). Connect is a popular place for many PLU. If you stay in our gay hotel you do not need to spend money on expensive tuk-tuk or taxi drivers. You will stay in the center of the gay area yet only a short 5 minutes walk from the beach.

Connect's contributions for the gay community:

• We received certificate of The Department of Disease Control, Ministry of Public Health awards, the AIDS-response standard Organization (ASO-Gold Level) Certificate in 2006.
• We are a funding member of TATA (Thailand Alternative Travel Association) promoting gay tourism.
• We are a long time member of Phuket Gay association
• We promote the work made by Rainbow sky organization in Thailand and Phuket. Rainbow Sky is the first registered gay organization in Thailand.
  We work closely with Patong Hospital and Phuket provincial health authorities to promote safe sex.
• We are helping the new MSM clinic at Patong Hospital, one of the first MSM (Men who have Sex with other Men) clinics in Thailand.
• Together with Bangkok Phuket hospital we have our own "safe sex" project. We have installed condom and lubricant wending machines outside our restaurant with supply from PSI Asia Thailand
• We arrange the weekly gay day tour to Kai Island since 1999
• We have a WEB-site about the Gay area in GayPatong.
• We have been sending a gay volleyball team to play in the straits games since 2002. Arranged by Men after work (Singapore) and LPG (Leadership Program Graduates in Malaysia). TSG2006 will take place from October 26 to October 29 2006 in Phuket, Thailand.
• We follow the recommendations from TBCA (Thailand Business Coalition on AIDS)

	In August 2005 we had a team from Phuket to represent Thailand in the TSG 2005 Gay Games in Malaysia.
