What is Connect Guesthouse ?

Connect Guesthouse is a charming Swedish owned guesthouse. Connect opened 1998 and was totally renovated in 2002. Connect offer you accommodation in 19 rooms in Connect-1 and soon 6 rooms in our new annex Connect-2, just around the corner. The windows facing the street are with double glass to keep the street noise out. All rooms have Queen or King size bed, air conditioning, on-suite bath room with hot water shower, cable TV, electric kettle for coffee and tea, mini bar fridge and a safety box big enough for your lap top PC. Some rooms have small balconies. you keep your key all the time and we have no restrictions on guests in the rooms, as long as they are 18 years of age or over.
All rooms have IDD telephone. Internet access (LAN), free of charge is available in all rooms. Downstairs in the air conditioned restaurant you will also find computers with Internet access available for our customers. The cost to use our Internet computers is 1 Baht/minute, minimum charge is 20 Baht.
Connect restaurant and bar has been a hassle free zone since 1998 and is a popular hangout. Many returning and long stay guests all say "Connect is my second home". The restaurant is open from 9 AM and serves breakfast and full Thai/European meals until midnight. You can never be to late for your breakfast.

Where is Connect ?

Connect is located right in the heart of the Gay area "Paradise Complex" in Patong Beach on Phuket Island. Over 20 Gay venues including the Boat Bar Disco and My Way Bar are on your door step and a short 5 minutes walk takes you to the Beach. Shopping and the nearest bank with ATM-machine are just around the corner as well as most of the entertainment you might be looking for. Transport from airport is easy arranged with an airport taxi. Tell the driver to go to Patong Beach, Paradise Complex (way in), Connect Guesthouse and you will be here after a 40 minutes drive at the fixed price of 550 THB.

When is the best time to travel?

Anytime. Phuket is a tropical destination with all year around temperatures between 25-35 degrees Celsius. We have two monsoon periods with some beautiful rain fall, usually not more than 1 hour duration. The first is at the end of April and the beginning of May. The second is in October. The dry season is generally from December until mid April with very few showers and usually a totally clear blue sky.
Remember, Phuket is an Island and we get far less rain here then the main land and weather forecasts often says thunderstorm during monsoon periods and instead we have a sunny day.

Please observe that the on-line booking system only can check if ONE room is available for your entire stay. You can check what rooms are available day by day in case we are nearly fully booked. If it is OK for you to move between rooms during your stay and you don't find any available rooms in our on-line booking system, please send your reservation to connectguesthouse@beachpatong.com.

Weekly activities from Connect:

• Saturday - Join our Gay Day Tour to Kai Island. We start from Connect at 11.00 and will be back at Connect 19.00. We spend over 5 hours on the Island. New day!! From October 2003 we are going on Saturdays instead of Thursdays as before.
• Sunday - Buffet with 10 dishes and fresh fruit - only 200 THB/person! 20.00-22.00
  

FAQ (frequently asked questions)

• The room rate is a rate for the room. 2 persons can stay in the room or up to 4 in room with sofa-bed (only 622 and 624).
• You can book/change or cancel your reservation yourself trough our on-line reservation system.
• There is no extra charge for overnight visitor.
• You can have breakfast in our restaurant. Price from 65THB for coffee and toast and 125 for American breakfast.
• There is a safety box in every room. Use your own pad lock or buy one for 50THB.
• You can call directly to, from and between our rooms
• Connect your laptop PC to our Local Area Network (Ethernet). You can use Internet free of charge.
• The reception, restaurant, bar and Internet is open from 09.00 AM - midnight
• it is only a 5 minutes walk to Patong Beach
• We accept everyone Gay - Lesbian - Transgender - Straight.
