Patong Beach is the most famous beach on Phuket Island and has a wide variety of day time activities and a amazing night life.

Stay in Patong if you want to be near to exiting gay night life. In the daytime you can enjoy any of Phuket's 17 sandy beaches or walk down to the gay section of Patong Beach and enjoy the afternoon beach volleyball game.

If you stay outside Patong and want enjoy the night life in Patong you will probably spend a lot of money on tuk-tuk (local taxi) drivers taking you back and forth. Patong is the only beach with a Gay scene on Phuket Island.

If you want solitude there are several secluded islands and beaches only minutes away from Patong, so we are sure that you always will find something or somebody new to discover.

30 August - 2 September 2007 TSG-2007 Gay Games in Phuket
TSG 2007 , hosted for the second time in Phuket will be an even bigger schedule of sports than in 2006 by adding tennis and a non championship swimming carnival with teams comprising members from different countries. This will be the first event on the schedule and designed to be an “Ice Breaker” and fun “Get to Know You” party. Of course there will still be the three traditional sports: indoor volleyball, badminton and bowling. A number of social events will keep participants, supporters and volunteers fully occupied for the entire weekend here in Phuket info

TSG -2006 The Strait Games in Phuket 26-28 October 2006

The 5th TSG came to a fantastic close in Phuket with the participants and supporters from Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and, not forgetting, the host country Thailand, parting with heavy hearts. Phuket Pride took up the challenge to host TSG2007 with the vision of bringing the games to greater heights, anticipating interests from other Asian and Asia Pacific countries.

The Thailand organizers and volunteers not only charmed our hearts but have proven their mettle in getting the games and events organized with great pomp and splendor, in a way only Thailand can! From the bottom of our hearts, we wish the organizers and all in Phuket all the best and here's looking forward to next year.

Daily events

Patong is a tourist destination so you can expect a full week of "Saturdays". In daytime you can go to the beach in Patong or bring yourself to any of the other 17 beaches here in Phuket. In case you already get to much of the burning sun you can go shopping at the market in Patong or take the bus to Phuket town and do some shopping at Tesco Lotus, Big C, Central Festival, Robinson or Ocean shopping mall. The bus costs only 20 THB one way. The night scene is manly located to The Paradise Complex area for gays and Bangla Road for straight tourists. There are many cabaret shows, go-go, disco etc to chose from. Look further in the entertainment listing.
